Blackfield: For The Music - LP

For The Music is the sixth album by the English duo Blackfield, released in 2020, with Israeli singer Aviv Geffen once again taking the lead role, as he has in the past. The recording is available on CD, standard black LP (0190295139803), and as a limited edition on coloured vinyl (0190295139780).

Blackfield is a collaborative music project between English musician and Porcupine Tree founder Steven Wilson and Israeli rock singer Aviv Geffen. Under the name Blackfield, they have released six albums together. The duo created the first two records, Blackfield and Blackfield II, as equal partners, while the third and fourth, Welcome to my DNA and Blackfield IV, were primarily the work of Geffen, who took the lead role, wrote all but one of the songs on the albums, and also provided most of the vocals. Despite originally announcing his intention to leave the project in 2014, Wilson instead worked as an equal partner on the fifth album, Blackfield V, which was released in 2017. The sixth album, For the Music, was released at the end of 2020, with Geffen once again taking the leading role.
