Blood gates

Just like Will, Saskia, a keen fencer, leads a completely ordinary life. That all changes the moment she faces the mysterious Maître in a tournament: he inflicts deep cuts on her with his rapier, which soon turn into a brand. Saskia has no idea that her opponent has been searching for her for centuries – for within her lies a dormant gift that the Maître now intends to use for his own purposes. However, no one has prepared the young woman for her dark talent, and so she unwittingly throws open doors that should never have been opened. Before Saskia can understand what is happening to her, she finds herself on the run with Will from the demon's servants, who want to exploit her for their own ends. The two young people must forget everything they once believed to be real, good, and evil in order to survive – and they receive help that is as unexpected as it is unusual…
