Blue Effect: New Synthesis - Set New Synthesis + New Synthesis 2 (2x CD) - CD

Reissue of legendary albums on two CDs or Vinyl.

In 1971 it was a real event: the band Blue Effect joined forces with the Czechoslovak Jazz Orchestra. radio. The studio recording, supported by a concert presentation of the compositions, connected two previously seemingly incompatible units.
In our conditions, it was an undoubted surprise, although a different conception of the beat and big band would be found, see the Odyssey of the Brno Atlantic and Gustav Brom.

However, the Prague album went in a different direction: the purely instrumental content was more of a big-band jazz than a rock, but the strong rhythms Kozel / Čech, the excellent guitarist Hladík and the keyboardist Semelka seconded more than well. The sequel three years younger is already sung, although it is definitely not a trivial three-minute chant. Messrs. Semelka and Kůstka did a great job with the lyrics of Pavel Vrba and Boris Janíček / Eduard Pergner, the musical part already indicated that the experiment captured rather rock, soon confirmed parameters.

This reissue offers remastered sound, a refurbished cover, documentary sleeve-notes, and photos and CD bonuses. These are formed on the first album by a more than twenty-minute variation of JOČR on the theme of Khachaturjan' s music for the ballet Gajané (for the first time on CD, solo also Radim Hladík), in the second case by three instrumental compositions M. Effect, to Synthesis 2 in many ways.
