The village of Smrková Tišina comes to life again…
Stela decides to make a radical life change and buys a dilapidated cottage in the remote Šumava border village of Smrková Tišina. The cottage, located in complete seclusion in a desolate forest, has a troubled history. Its previous owner disappeared twenty years ago, and according to the locals, it's haunted.
But Stela doesn't believe in old wives' tales. She plans to renovate and throws herself into life in Smrková Tišina with gusto. However, her first trip to pick blueberries doesn't go well, and by a stroke of bad luck, Stela finds herself at the scene of a murder.
She refuses to let her dream of a solitary life be ruined and begins to investigate the secrets of the local area on her own. But not all the local residents welcome her with open arms. Except, perhaps, for Petr, a police officer who delves into the tangled case with her.
