Bóková Nikol: Inner Place - CD

Pianist Nikol Bóková is known primarily as a performer of classical music, whose repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary music.
His first purely original album, that he draws from jazz, of classical music, minimalism and partly also popular music, recorded in a classic jazz trio piano-contrabass-drums configuration in collaboration with talented players of the young jazz generation, double bassist MARTIN KOCIÁN and drummer MICHAŁ WIERZGOŃ. Nikol Boková's compositions are precisely polished, formally simple miniatures in which one can find traces of the harmonic and melodic refinement of classical piano literature, and her classically defined way of playing, perfect technique and dynamics of the stroke are unique in the world of jazz piano. Nikol Bóková freely and without any prejudices crosses the boundaries of musical genres in her original work, fascinated by the possibilities they offer her.
