Bóková Nikol: Unravel - CD

Nikol Bóková is one of the greatest Czech musical promises of recent times, a unique combination of his classically trained interpretive mastery and unique compositional talent.

Pianist and composer Nikol Bóková is a discovery of last year in the jazz world. Her first album, with which she deviated from the hitherto known waters of classical piano playing (Inner Place), earned a nomination for the Anděl Award for the best jazz album of 2019.

A year later, Bóková comes up with a new project, in which he innovatively combines difficult compositions for classical solo piano ( Rachmaninov, Ravel, Novák, Korngold and others) in a completely sovereign design with its own compositions, inspired personalities of classical composers (eg Dedicated to Maurice Ravel, the title track “Unravel“), accompanied by her trio teammates - double bassist Michał Wierzgoń and drummer Martin Kocián.
