Born on the 4th of July - DVD

Tom Cruise gives a riveting performance as Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic in Oliver Stone's masterpiece.

The film, based on a true story, follows Kovic's journey from a naive and eager young man, who volunteered for Vietnam, to a bitter veteran, who's being brought back from the war paralyzed from the chest down. Deeply devoted to his homeland, Kovic returns to an environment completely different from the one he left behind. He will reach the very bottom of his strength, but in the end he will rise as a courageous new spokesman for those who feel the same disillusionment as he does.
