Božena Šimková: The Robbery Scandal

"Seven and a half miles away there's a black forest and a bunch of robbers, they're scared and terrified," sings the fairy-tale comedy. In the story itself, however, everything is actually a bit different. The robbers are not real robbers, the brave soldier Ferda is an ordinary boy who is head over heels in love with the princess and the royal daughter Amálka does not reject his love, quite the opposite.
