Episode 1
Exile on Main Street
Hank Moody (David Duchovny) sits behind bars and the Internet spreads fresh news about the latest Hollywood sex scandal, which was started by a book by a lolita. Hank' s darkest secret is in the world. When Charlie (Evan Handler) finally gets him out on bail, Hank learns that he must not return home. Then he meets the charming lawyer Abby Rhoads (Carla Gugino), who decides to defend him against all her common sense.

Episode 2
Suicide liberates
Hank is an unwanted guest and Marcy (Pamela Adlon) is literally vomiting - especially when she finds him next to him in bed in the morning. Hank arrives late for a meeting with his lawyer, and she begins to question not only Hank' s intentions, but also his persistence throughout the case. Charlie Hanka will meet rising star Sasha Bingham (Addison Timlin) and elemental Oscar-winning actor Eddie Nero (Rob Lowe), who is to take on the role of Hank in the upcoming film.

Episode 3
Home Sweet Home
Hank inadvertently overdoses and wakes up in the hospital. The devastated Karen (Natascha McElhone) invites him home and Hank doesn' t know if he' s dead or in heaven. Becca (Madeleine Martin) gets an offer from singer Pearl (Zoë Kravitz) to play in her new band The Queens of Dogtown. Hank, meanwhile, realizes that Karen is nice to him just because she says he tried to commit suicide. How long will Becca allow him to hide the truth from his mother?

Episode 4
Monkey shop
Hank learns from lawyer Abby that he will go to court for sexual abuse. But before that, he will be able to complete the script for the film P & P and Charlie drags him to a meeting with director, producer and eccentric financier Zig Samitaur (Fisher Stevens). The Queens of Dogtown begin rehearsing with the Runkles. When Karen and Marcy return home, Karen drips into the music with an unconventional artist and Pearlin' s father, Ben (Michael Ealy).

Episode 5
A corpse
Marcy takes Charlie to the emergency room with a serious injury he has caused while shaving. The attending physician tells them that Charlie' s vasectomy was a complete mess. On the way to dinner with Abby, Hank encounters Miu (Madeline Zima) and her representative in the upcoming film Sasha Bingham. The inconvenience is compounded when secret images of Hank and his alleged victims appear on the Internet and everything changes.

Episode 6
Lawyers, guns and money
When Hank' s compromising films reach the plaintiff, Hank loses the opportunity to agree with him on a partial confession, and Abby refuses to further defend Hank. The photo scandal will also cause Sasha to cancel her participation in the film. Beautician Marcy comes to the customer' s house, but instead of epilation, the court producer of the film P & P Stu Beggs (Stephen Tobolowsky), with whom he finally gets together while working and watching westerns.

Episode 7
Rejected
The surprise turn from the previous night causes Abby to take up Hank' s case again. In addition, during the afternoon golf, he tries to put it together with his corporate partner, but the result is embarrassing. Hanka angers the discovery that Karen and Ben are seeing each other more and more often and that they are even going to a concert of Becca' s band together. Stu and Marcy, meanwhile, ask Charlie to help them get into Showtime® one new series.

Episode 8
Lights. Camera. Jerk.
Hank embarks on rewriting the dialogue for the next installment of the highly successful zombie film starring Sasha Bingham, directed by an increasingly frustrated director (Todd Louise). In the evening, Hank meets a manicured woman (Callie Thorne) in the hotel bar. Revealing that he is even closer to Sasha than he himself may mean the end of his new lucrative engagement.

Episode 9
Another beautiful day
When Hank returns to his hotel room after the last meeting with Abby, he finds out that he was evicted for non-payment of bills, so he spends the next night in the car. Then Becca and Karen take him in to spend the last weekend with them before the trial begins. But Karen' s date with Ben disrupts the weekend family idyll. And the countdown begins.

Episode 10
Court
It' s the first day of the trial, and otherwise confident Hank is obviously nervous after an awkward meeting with Bill (Damian Young) in front of the courthouse. Attorney Abby tries to reassure him, but the plaintiff has enough evidence to make his prospects seem pretty obscure. The witnesses testify wrong, and before Mia' s turn, Hank' s case seems to be anything but lost.

Episode 11
Last dinner
Hank is waiting for a verdict and experiencing terrible daymares. When the emotions calm down a little, Hank meets his old acquaintance Trixie (Judy Greer), but even her company is not enough for him. Hank will use part of his newly earned money to buy another used Porsche. Behind the wheel, he contemplates an escape from L. A., but then one phone call makes him spend the last night in the arms of his family.

Episode 12
•. and justice for all
Hank takes Abby to Stu and Marcy to celebrate the start of filming P & P. To his surprise, he meets Karen and her new suitor Ben, who have some news for him about Becca. Everyone is having a good time, and Sasha Bingham, but only until than Eddie Nero, who now behaves exactly like Hank, somewhat inappropriately, she lets go of Karen and before Charlie' s mistress Peggy uses violence against her friend. The verdict is in the world, but one question remains unanswered: how will Hank' s punishment affect his common future with Karen and Becca?
