Cardiology minimum for paediatric practitioners

The publication deals with the basic cardiological problems encountered by paediatricians in their daily practice in a clear and understandable way. In the first chapters of the book, the most common clinical problems such as heart murmurs, rhythm disturbances, syncope and chest pain in childhood are gradually discussed. Other parts of the book are devoted to the issues of examination before the child's inclusion in sports activity and the care of children before and after heart surgery. The principles of prevention of infective endocarditis are summarized. The subject of the next chapter is the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension in children, and a chapter on the principles of prevention of atherosclerosis in childhood concludes the publication. The book is primarily aimed at paediatric general practitioners, but can also be a useful aid to general paediatricians working at the bedside.
