A Humorous Tale of Love
Socks, pajamas, tuxedo, rum. A violinist of the Czech Symphony Orchestra has to pack all this when he goes on a tour of concert halls abroad. And add to that a good dose of patience to be able to squeeze in the bus and in hotel rooms, to survive all the stops at gas stations and the humorous demands of colleagues.
Moreover, violinist Evžen is a good guy from the bone and he is helpful to his teammates in almost everything: whether they need to vacate a hotel room for a love tryst or to borrow money. In addition, he has fallen in love with a flutist and has no idea how to show her his feelings.
In her new novel, Zuzana Dostálová gives listeners a glimpse behind the scenes of an orchestra and reveals that the messengers of the art of the sublime often have a lot on their plates. It's no honey to make a living from culture.
