Cassidy Eva, London Symphony: I Can Only Be Me - CD

The vocal parts have been carefully restored from Eva Cassidy's original recordings, with new arrangements and orchestrations prepared by composers Christopher Willis and William Ross, and recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra.

The American vocalist and guitarist has worked in a variety of musical styles from jazz to blues and country to rock and folk. Before her death in 1996, she was virtually unknown to the world, but two years later BBC Radio 2 in the UK prepared a profile programme about her and the musician from Washington suddenly entered the charts on the island.
