Cermaque: Happy Birthday - CD

Singer-songwriter Jakub Čermák, performing as Cermaque, comes up with a record about the possibilities and forms of love against the background of a shattering world.

Eleven songs on his eleventh studio album, All the Best, were recorded with the band that has surrounded him for the past four years. When drummer Martin came to us in the winter with the news that he got a job in New York and that we would have to hibernate the band for a while, we decided to record the existing band synergy at least on a short EP in the JáMOR studio with legendary sound master and friend Ondra Ježek,". says James. But the wait for visas dragged on, the recording mornings grew longer - and so did the new songs, which also reflected the escalating war situation in Europe. So, in the end, a full 11-song full-length album was created, which is released on CD and colourful vinyl. "When we mixed the album in the summer, I was surprised to find that the word love appeared in almost all the songs that made it onto the album. It was as if not only the musicianship of my virtuoso musician companions and their mutual ferment, tested on more than one stage, but also the simple fact that we love each other, had spontaneously imprinted itself on it. "
The album Everything's Best was recorded by Jakub Čermák together with his friends and musical colleagues Martin Barinec, Julia Goetzová, Zuzana Barincová and guest Ondřej Ježek, who, in addition to sound supervision, also participated in the production of the album.
