Charles IV - Shadows of the Past

After a meeting with Duke Albrecht of Habsburg in Budějovice in the autumn of 1350, Charles IV. participating in hunting near Zvíkov. However, the king is missing from the hunters who gathered in the assembly area after the hunt. Searchers find him unconscious, with a broken jaw and a wound to his cervical spine. Was the injury accidental or was it deliberate? When the corpse of a peasant with the Habsburg seal is found nearby, the scales slowly tip towards attempted royal murder. Karel Rozoumek, the commander of the king's protective party, therefore calls on his friends to help him and also embarks on a search himself. Meanwhile, behind the closed gate of Zvíkov Castle lies the badly wounded King of Bohemia and Rome. Will Rozoumek be able to discover who tried to kill the king? Will the king's personal physician be able to help Charles IV. to heal? Jaromír Jindra was born on 29 October 1949 in České Budějovice. After graduating from high school, he became editor of a regional daily newspaper and later deputy editor-in-chief of the (now defunct) weekly Nový život. In the years when he was actively working as a journalist, his work was devoted to professional publications in the field of philumeny, where he wrote and published almost two hundred titles, mostly on the history of Czech matchmaking. He returned to beautiful literature only at the end of the 20th century. Recently, he has published historical novels from Czech history, Spiklenci z lásky, Dreams die with kings, War of the Queens, Poison for kings, The blind king's fight, Charles IV. and the Crown of Roman Kings, Captive of Destiny - Edward Kelley's Daughter and Captive of Destiny - Horoscope for Wallenstein. Radek Valenta (* 1976) is a Czech actor known from many theatre scenes, including. Mladá Boleslav Municipal Theatre, The theatre in the Butcher's shop, Viola Theatre, Lyra Pragensis Theatre, Spiral Theatre, Chamber drama, Ungelt Theatre or Prague's Theatre pod Palmovkou, where he's currently engaged. Film viewers know him primarily as Henry from The Princess of the Mill, and his most recent television roles include The Case for the Skier, the series Boheme and the series Slunečná. He also does dubbing and composes music for theatre performances and his own songs. Sofie Streitová (* 2006) studies at the Prague Conservatory. She performed in the choir of the National Theatre, the Estates Theatre and the Children's Opera Prague. She has also starred in the upcoming series Mosaic. He is also involved in loading audiobooks.
