Chest pain

Chest pain is one of the most dramatic symptoms in medicine, which must be responded to in a timely manner. Chest pain is a subjective unpleasant physical sensation. It can manifest itself in different ways, as pressure, the weight, clenching, burning, can result in unbearable suffering, and it could be fatal, unless an early and correct diagnosis is made. A comprehensive view of this symptom, which touches almost all medical disciplines, has not yet been elaborated to this extent in Czech literature.

The book is structured in two basic parts.
The general part includes chapters on anatomy, physiology, propedeutics, biochemical examination and examination methods from basic to highly specialized.

The special section is a broad differential diagnosis of chest pain, which is based on all the specialties that may encounter chest pain. The chapters were prepared by top specialists (cardiologist, an angiologist, pneumologist, gastroenterologist, pediatrician, infectologist, dermatologist, mammologist, urologist, neurologist, psychiatrist, gerontologist, oncologist, surgeon, thoracic surgeon, rheumatologist, orthopedic surgeon, rehabilitation doctor).

The book is of particular interest to general practitioners, doctors at emergency and admission wards of hospitals, internist, but also specialists, especially cardiologists, pneumology and surgery.
