Chic: C'est Chic - LP

The second album by the American funk and disco group Chic, released in 1978. The album includes one of the group's biggest hits, Le Freak, which reached number one on the US singles chart. In 1979, Rolling Stone magazine named it the R&B Album of the Year.

Chic was formed in 1976 by guitarist Nile Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards. Although Rodgers often referred to it as a rock band, it found fame with disco songs like Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah), Everybody Dance, I Want Your Love, Good Times, and Le Freak. The renaissance of funk and disco music that arrived in 2013 with Daft Punk's album Random Access Memories also restarted Rodgers' career. After all, Nile Rodgers himself contributed to the French duo's aforementioned record. In recent years, the band's name is more often listed as Chic featuring Nile Rodgers.
