Chic: Chic - LP

The 1977 debut album from the American funk and disco group Chic. The album features the hits 'Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)' and 'Everybody Dance'. The album cover features two models, Valentine Monnier and Alva Chinn. It is now being re-released on LP as part of a catalogue campaign.

Chic was formed in 1976 by guitarist Nile Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards. Although Rodgers often referred to it as a rock band, they became famous for disco songs like 'Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)', 'Everybody Dance', 'I Want Your Love', 'Good Times', and 'Le Freak'.

The funk and disco music renaissance, which arrived in 2013 with Daft Punk's album Random Access Memories, also restarted Rodgers' career. After all, Nile Rodgers himself contributed to the aforementioned album by the French duo. In recent years, the band's name is more often listed as Chic featuring Nile Rodgers.
