Chimneys

The fourth edition of the publication introduces readers to the issue of flue gas extraction from solid, liquid and gaseous fuel appliances in an up-to-date and comprehensible way. It concerns both new buildings and reconstructions. For gas appliances, it deals with chimney designs depending on the flue gas temperature and the required underpressure or overpressure. Describes the principles and method of construction of ceramic chimneys, metal chimneys and new types of chimneys, methods and instructions for reconstruction of chimneys by inserting for appliances for liquid and gaseous fuels. A separate chapter is devoted to the issue of inspection, cleaning and revision of flue gas ducts based on Government Regulation No. 91/2010 Coll., on fire safety conditions for the operation of chimneys, flues and fuel appliances. The author participates in the elaboration of Czech chimney standards and cooperates in the elaboration of other regulations in the field of chimneys, at the same time he is a long-standing expert in the field of construction with a special specialization in chimney construction.
