Cocotte Minute: Guide me! - CD

Three years after their comeback album Rituál, kmen a srdce a kmen and eight years since their last studio album, Cocotte Minute released a six-track EP in 2018.

This record is a blend of the very best of the musical and lyrical potential from the Czendál/Zeller songwriting duo. “For me, it’s a huge advantage and inspiration to work with one of the best guitarists and composers in the country,” says Zeller, praising his collaboration with his colleague. Zeller’s lyrics, in turn, show a certain creative shift and a genuine effort to achieve meaningfulness and depth. What’s more, it’s clear he has also matured as a vocalist.

From the very beginning, the band Cocotte Minute has forged its own path. Thanks to their diligence, they have worked their way to the absolute top, not only within rock music but also on the Czech club scene as a whole. Cocotte Minute are acclaimed for their musical perspective that transcends their nu-metal roots, and for their high-quality Czech lyrics. The current creative duo of Zeller & Czendál combines the directness of the street in both voice and lyrics with musical sophistication. Zeller's distinctive, atypical, and raw vocals are amplified by the elaborate music of Czendál, a graduate of the Ježek Conservatory, without losing any of its aggression, energy, and urgency. The band can be regularly seen at most major Czech festivals, on club tours, and sometimes even at international gigs.
