Collegium Musicum: Live - LP

A recording from a public session at the Czechoslovak Radio Concert Hall in Bratislava on 21 and 22 July 1973.
Collegium Musicum was a Slovak art-rock band. Its founder and leading figure was Marián Varga, one of the most distinctive rock keyboardists. The band began to form in the autumn of 1969. During its most productive period (1970–1974), its core consisted of Marián Varga, bassist Fedor Frešo, and drummer Dušan Hájek.
With short breaks, the band was active on the music scene until 1979. Varga later revived it on several occasions, most notably in 1981 to record the album Divergencie. The band became famous primarily for its interpretations of well-known themes from classical music.
