The third part of the historical saga The Crystal Key by Vlastimil Vondruška
The heirs of Ignác Heřman lose the Falknov ironworks, which is acquired by Leopold's former fiancée Hildegarde, who lives for one thing - to take revenge on the Heřman family. Ignatius's grandsons have to face not only her intrigues but also the economic difficulties brought about by the new style of manufactory business. Traditional trade is being replaced by predatory trading companies. However, the new style of farming benefits those who are capable, and this will of course bring new opportunities for the Heřman family, but also conflicts. There is no peace in the country either, as Emperor Charles has no male heir and the family that has ruled Central Europe for centuries is in danger of losing power.
