Cuckoos: My baby is not mine

My baby is not mine. Martin and Teresa, to two young parents of six-year-old Jacob, the words have been ringing in my head for a while, when Charles and Olga, the parents of six-year-old Thomas, they said, that there was a mix-up at the maternity ward. That the families took home the wrong guy. No one is prepared for such a situation. Six years of giving your best to the child you love above all else. And now you know it was born to someone else. What is one to do at such a moment? What's more? Blood, or the care and love you have already given to the child? Each of the four parents has a different opinion on how to solve the problem. Over time, however, the natural desire to get to know one's own child prevails for everyone. Getting to know, being with, but at the same time not hurting the other. However, ancient wrongs and hatreds come into play, complicating everything even more. Cuckoos is not just a story about switching babies in the maternity ward. Despite the initial strong plot, the narrative moves on to the more general theme of parenting. Everyone in the story is trying to do the best they can to succeed as parents. And while it doesn't always work, it's clear that a functioning family is the most important thing.
