Czech Catholic Theology 1850-1950 and Natural Sciences
Educational cycle of Ctirad V. Pospíšil brings a substantial extension of research in the field of the relations of Catholic theology to the knowledge of natural sciences in the last and the previous century. The author presents the relation of contemporary theology to astronomy and does not find the slightest conflict. It also discusses the attitude of theology towards evolution in the field of fauna and flora. There is a considerable openness to the fact of evolution, but not to its materialistic conception.
