Dašek Rudolf: A Fairy Tale for Beritka - CD

The Fairy Tale for Beritka is the first solo album by the unique jazz guitarist Rudolf Dašek. He recorded it in 1970, when he was already an important figure in Czech music and had unavoidable success abroad.

The fairy tale for Beritka contains her own compositions and jazz standards. Music critic Ivan Poledňák wrote about this album: “ In everything what Dašek plays, I feel above all great and essential musicianship, thus at the same time resistance to the external, cheap, fashionable, to such an abundant feverish effort to differentiate at all costs, come up with something shockingly new. It is also a record full of wit, but a delicate and pure musical joke, consisting in the immediate specialization of the melody, in the fantastic intertwining of rhythmic bands, etc.. ”

The recording is now being released on a compact disc for the first time.
