Daughter of a serial killer

Twenty years ago, Ed Finch – the infamous American serial killer – chose the San Francisco area as his hunting ground. Today, his daughter Margot is a homicide detective there, and has spent her whole life trying to forget her past and her father. While investigating a brutal multiple murder, she learns that Ed is back in the city, on death row. He is willing to reveal his secrets, but on one condition. Margot must visit him. Her instincts tell her not to go, but the opportunity to find out the truth and bring closure to the victims' families is like a magnet. And it is not just a professional obligation. She wants to know if, beneath the skin of the cold-blooded monster, lies the Ed Finch she knew – the caring father who taught her how to ride a bike, drive a car, and trust no one.
