Dave Edmunds: Trax On Wax 4 CLR

LP Record Tracks On Wax 4, as the name suggests, was the fourth album released under the name of Welsh rocker Dave Edmunds, but it features the full Rockpile line-up. Rockpile was a quartet consisting of Nick Lowe (bass, vocals), Billy Bremner (guitar, vocals), and Terry Williams (drums), plus Edmunds on guitar and vocals. Rockpile were unusual in that they straddled the line between British pub rock and elements of classic pop, country, and rockabilly, but with a touch of the contemporary new wave. What's more, Rockpile possessed considerable musical power without any empty virtuosity; their songs were two to three-minute slices of high-octane rock 'n' roll played with style and energy.
