Singer Cassandra Monique Andra Batie is from California. She adopted the stage name Andra Day and, like many other young performers on YouTube, dreamed of a big career. She went to art school and made videos, mostly of songs she took over. She broke into the most watched videos on social media with a remake of Jessie J's Mamma Knows Best, and as a result signed a deal with Warner Bros record label, where she debuted in 2015 with Cheers To The Fall. Musically, he moves between soul, R&B, blues, jazz, disco music and pop.
