Death in Stuttgart
The twelfth story of private detective Standa Berka begins on the ship Stuttgart on the Brno Dam, where Berka once again visits its captain Jenda Horn, his long-time friend. The journey passes quietly and without any problems. But at the final stop of the boat transport in Veverská Bítýška, the two friends discover that the only passenger who was with them on the upper deck of the boat is no longer among the living. He died seemingly naturally, until Professor Motl's autopsy discovers a needle puncture in the man's back and discovers that he was poisoned. The case is taken over by detectives of Berk's friend, Colonel Motl, from the Brno mortuary.
