Death Rally (extended version) - DVD

The website of the Death Rally project is one of the most visited. They are running an online stream of the most brutal car race in history. The actors are "residents" of one of America's toughest prisons. The rules are simple - fast, furious and as careless as possible to reach the finish line first. Just win five times and they'll give you freedom instead of a medal. Losing, however, usually means dying - in a burning car wreck, under the wheels of a stronger opponent, or with a bullet in your head. Shooting with anything is allowed during the race.

Jensen Ames (Jason Statham) is a former auto racer. He went to prison for a murder he didn't commit. The unscrupulous prison warden (Joan Allen) is clear that his skills must not go unused for the sake of ratings, so she offers him a tempting assignment. Hidden in a terrifying mask, he would double as the legendary racer Frankenstein, who was the main reason the Death Rally was so popular. The last race was unfortunately fatal for him, fortunately the public doesn't know that, and so Frank, whose abilities could be at least close to Frankenstein's, can enter the ring. Just win one race, and Frank will return to freedom. But he'll have to do more than just turn the wheel and step on the gas. He'll have to kill.
