Deczi Laco & Jazz Celula: Fire to Fire - CD

Jazz Celula clearly belonged to the Czechoslovak top jazz in the 1970s, and her album Oheň až požár, recorded in 1975 and 1976, is one of the top recordings of the time. As the publicist Vojtěch Hueber wrote in his review: “Cell, which is a kind of ' all stars band' of our current jazz scene, it is supremely contemporary with its modern mainstream and, if something is characteristic of it, then it is the compactness of speech, which is the result not only of the joint action of all its members in JOČR and TOČR, but also that that they are all advanced player individuals of first-class qualities.
It would be carrying wood into the forest if we now analyze the sophistication of Košvanc' s trombone, the logic of saxophone solos by Petr Král, Deczi' s expressiveness or the perfection of Růžiček' s Fender piano. ”
