Deep Purple: Deep Purple - LP

Deep Purple's third album, 1969, is also the last album on which Nick Simper and Rod Evans participated. The album is one of the milestones of Deep Purple's discography for other reasons as well - it captures a band on the rise. The recording was made after Deep Purple returned to England from an overseas tour in late 1968, during which the band promoted their previous album The Book Of Taliesyn. Now it is reissued on LP.

The British rock band from Hertford is well known to our listeners. Deep Purple started out as a prog-rock outfit, they also dabbled in heavy metal. Together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, they are one of the fundamental representatives of British hard-rock and metal of the 1970s.
