Deep Purple: Perfect Strangers - CD

In 1984, eight years after the collapse of Deep Purple, a real and legal reunification took place. It was announced on BBC Radio' s The Friday Rock Show that the classic compositions of the early 1970s - Blackmore, Gillan, Glover, Lord, and Paice - were recording together again.

The group has signed a contract with Polydor and Mercury in North America. The album Perfect Strangers was released in October 1984 and the tour followed, starting in New Zealand and continuing its journey around the world by detour through Europe. It was a huge success.

It ranked 17th in the Billboard 200. In the US, the album received a platinum record (RIAA) for more than one million copies sold.
