Deep Purple: Stormbringer

LP Record Stormbringer, Deep Purple's ninth studio album, was released in 1974. It was David Coverdale's second album as the band's singer, but it was also Deep Purple's last album with Ritchie Blackmore in the lineup for several years. The band's songs became funkier than ever, and the album reached number 20 in the US and number 6 in the UK, but it failed to produce a major single hit for the band. However, in 2006 it was ranked among the 100 greatest British rock albums of all time, so it's clear that Deep Purple certainly brought both the storm and the rock.
