DeMarco Mac: This Old Dog

LP Record A new home, a new sound, a new Mac DeMarco album. An old dog and an old man are just two of the characters Mac DeMarco sings about on his new album. The Canadian musician and singer dedicates the first two singles, "My Old Man" and the title track "This Old Dog", to them. Otherwise, DeMarco is as thematically rich as ever on the record, once again perfecting his jizz jazz as the father of the genre. This time, however, he has taken a more acoustic approach than on his two predecessors, "2" (2012) and "Salad Days" (2014). So, in addition to drum machines and synthesisers, you can expect mainly acoustic guitars. The electric guitar is used only once. The multi-instrumentalist recorded the 13 songs for the album "This Old Dog" entirely by himself.
