Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in malignant diseases

The second, revised and expanded edition of Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures is published relatively soon after the first edition from 2002. However, developments in the field are so rapid that, despite the short time gap, the original text had to be amended, expanded and supplemented in many places. The second edition captures the changes in the treatment of individual diseases that have occurred in the last year. Similar to the previous edition, where the 2000 NCCN recommendations were cited, contains the second edition of the 2003 NCCN treatment guideline information. In rare cases, when the NCCN recommendations differ from the views of the European authors, We also cite the recommendations of the German Cancer Society (Kurzgefasste Interdisziplinäre Leitlinien, W. Zuzkschwerd Verlag 2002 552 p). In the second edition of this book, we have deliberately omitted several chapters that are more extensively presented in the book General Oncology and Supportive Care, Grada 2003.
