Diseases of the intestines

The publication is a comprehensive work on diseases of the intestine, it has a clear, clear structure and is divided into a general and a special section.
The general part includes genetics, embryology, anatomy and histology, physiology and pathophysiology. The next chapters in the general section deal with the gut microbiome, in great detail about symptomatology and examination methods.

The special section is divided into diseases of the duodenum, of the small intestine, of the appendix and Bauhin's valve, of a worm-shaped pendant, of the colon, rectum and anus. Special chapters are devoted to e.g. ileus, stomas, intestinal infections, including sexually transmitted and parasitic diseases, AIDS, pregnancy, functional disease, diarrhea and constipation, bleeding and abdominal disasters. Chapters where this is beneficial include surgical and pediatric appendices.

The team of authors consisted of 49 experts from all over the Czech Republic, the book was reviewed by prof. MUDr. Aleš Hep, CSc., and prof. MUDr. Jan Wechsler CSc.
The richly documented colour publication is intended especially for gastroenterologists, internists, surgeons, paediatricians, but also for other collaborating specialists.
