Divadlo Sklep: Sklep Naposlech 2015-2017 (2018) - CD

This album concludes the Sklep Naposlech series with its latest pieces. The most recent recording of Sklep's work has these undeniable strengths: an even richer and more fragmented genre diversity than one might hope for – from Latin to blues, protest songs, and chansons to underground; an unexpected range of moods – from the adoration of male virtues, through the tragedy of a mugged homeless person, to complaints about snoring or the unbearable life with mouldy laundry. The breathtaking courage of Šteindler to perform a solo twice and still shout in the choir elsewhere. The breathtaking modesty of Šteindler to perform a solo mime act on the CD while remaining anonymous. And this time, Hanák took up most of the 33 tracks without singing a single note. The author of the cover's artistic design is the academic sculptor Jaroslav Róna.

The legendary Sklep Theatre has been entertaining generations with its distinctive humour for years, and what's more, it continues to attract new ones.
