Dobeš Pavel: Concert 1984 - Archives open - CD

A collection of unique concerts by Jaromír Nohavica, Karel Kryl, Pavel Dobeš and Pepa Streichl was published under the collective title “Archives are Opening“. The recordings come from an extensive archive of recordings made in the 1980s.

Unpublished records are a unique period document. They bring to light the unique atmosphere of the concerts of that time, spontaneous moments of harmony and the intimate sharing of the feeling of conspiracy of all participants.. People in the then Czechoslovakia copied similar recordings and distributed them in lousy quality on cassettes and tapes samizdat.

A unique recording of the concert of Pavel Dobeš, who did not go under the nose of the then state power and so, like many of his colleagues, watched him closely. At a concert that took place in 1984, the singer played and sang songs that became evergreens (such as. Jarmila, Still life with worms, Blazek etc. ), and also told his original short stories (e. g. Dear Sally, Dear Column, etc. ).
