Dogheads - DVD
Based on the novel of the same name by Alois Jirásek, the film tells the well-known story of the revolt of the brave Chod family, led by Jan Sladký Kozina and Matěj Přibek, against the violent tyranny of the foreign nobleman Wolf Maxmilián Lamingen of Albenreuth, who is referred to in Jirásek's novel as Lamminger, popularly known as Lomikar.
This Bavarian nobleman received the Chod villages in 1621 and 1630 and the hitherto free Chods were declared subjects in 1668, which aroused great resentment among them.
