Doll - DVD

When unemployed Věra gets a job in a puppet factory through a sculptor friend, the young owner falls in love with her, but his resolute mother promptly fires her. The sculptor has just finished a prototype of a mechanical puppet for advertising, but his jealous lover destroys it right before it's presented to potential patent buyers. To return the favour, Věra steps in and performs as the mechanical puppet, “Robot-girl No. 1”, for the prospective buyers.
The contemporary press wrote that “no other film has given Věra Ferbasová so many opportunities to display the full range of her comedic talents as this one”.
