It belonged to important groups, especially in the 1960s. The founding members of The Doors were: keyboardist Ray Manzarek and singer Jim Morrison, eventually guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore joined the band.
The first album The Doors was released in January 1967 under the simple name The Doors . It also contained one of the most famous songs of the band “Light My Fire“, which was also released as a single. After the success of the album, the album Strange Days was released in the autumn of the same year, for which the singles “People Are Strange“ and “Love Me Two Times“ were released. Each following year, The Doors recorded an album. The last one filmed with Morrison was L. AND. Woman of 1971. A few months after its release, Morrison died. The other three members continued to perform and release albums without it, but disbanded after a year.
The Doors have influenced a number of musicians and bands. Their style of music shows elements of various musical genres such as acid rock, psychedelic rock and blues. At the beginning of the 21st century, Krieger and Manzarek founded the band Riders on the Storm, named after one of the songs The Doors.
