Martina Monošová (1972, Stará Turá), author. She graduated in design at STU in Bratislava. In 2005, she debuted with the novel from the environment of nannies in England, Lásky o piatej (she was the first to bring the theme of au-pairing into Slovak literature), wrote its loose sequel Anglické prebúdzania, an original three-perspective novel on marital infidelity in Klišé, a light-hearted novel Zlodeji bozkov about finding one's own worth and path, a novel about the highs and lows in the private life of an otherwise successful singer Sladké sny (also published in Czech), an erotic detective story Lekcie z nenávisti (also published in Czech), a saga-like novel about two young women against the backdrop of great changes in Slovak society over twenty-five years since the Velvet Revolution Miluje-nemiluje, idem! (also published in Czech), an intimate story of a married man's mistress Perly tej druhej, and the historical-adventure pentalogy SOPHIE from the period of the French Renaissance. Her new novel Drozd is the first work in the Corvinus historical series LEGENDA O BARBORE. In 2000 she lived in England and from 2007–2009 in Belgium.
