Dvořák Chamber Orchestra, Gregor Bohumil: Symphony (2x CD) - CD

The artistic legacy of Pavel Vranický (1756-1808) is very extensive and does not lack individual features. A native of Nová Říše in Moravia, soon after arriving in Vienna, he established himself as the author of symphonies.

Haydn and Beethoven respected him. Haydn entrusted him with the performance of his great oratorio Creation (1799), and Beethoven himself asked him to conduct the premiere of his first symphony in 1800. Pavel Vranický' s compositions still have something to say to the listeners.
