Edvard Valenta: To Live Once More

The novel by journalist Edvard Valenta can be seen on two levels - as a thrilling crime story of an extraordinarily complicated triple murder and at the same time as a kind of life balance sheet of a Central European intellectual of Valenta's time. The reminder of the author's affiliation with Lidové noviny is not an end in itself; the evocation of the Prague journalistic environment plays a significant role in the novel. <čte ladislav="" mrkvička.="" ladislav="">
