The story of a senior dog, his unbearable owner and his indulgent master.
Petra Baďurová (1964) was a real owner of a real dog Egon for twelve years. The one that Egon calls a panda, a little bit is and a little bit is not. She is an opponent of the humanization of dogs and in her book, with exaggeration, humor and understanding, she has capitalized on half a century of her experience not only with dogs, but also with their owners. Dogs have accompanied her since childhood. They are her hobby. She sought them out, owned them, babysat them, and trained them and many friends. Finally she started a successful Facebook profile Egon - from my diary. It grew day by day with photos, stories and memories of the old and already disease-tested German Shepherd, until Egon went to dog heaven one night. His mistress sat down in front of the computer in the morning and promised her fans, who liked Egon's peculiar 'dog' style of storytelling, that she would publish his story in a book. She fulfilled her promise, and in 2019 the book, which has since been reprinted several times, was published, and in 2020 Igor Bareš retrieved 21 selected chapters from it for Czech Radio Dvojka. The radio reading was a great success, so today you can hold this CD in your hands or listen to the downloadable version.
