Siegfried Lenz (1926–2014) is famous mainly for his novels, but his short stories are also worthy of attention. Although the texts are literarily demanding, they are also poetic and timeless – touching on themes of interpersonal relationships, memory, power, and relativity. This collection of thirteen short stories is being published in Czech for the very first time, translated by Jana Zoubková.
