Hodina slovenčiny is the fourth studio album by Elán from 1985. The band created and recorded this album with its classic breakthrough line-up (Ráž, Patejdl, the Baláž brothers, Farkaš), with all the lyrics to the 12 songs written by Boris Filan. In addition to the original megahits, the album also features a track by the German band Prinzip Emdéžet, Stužková or Královna bílých tenisek. Hodina češtiny is one of the best Slovak modern popular music albums of all time and is a direct predecessor of the most commercially successful Czechoslovak album Detektivka.
