Elton John: Wonderful Crazy Night (2016) - CD

English singer and pianist Elton John has announced that he will release a new album. It will be called “Wonderful Crazy Night“ and in the career of the 68-year-old Briton, it will be his 33rd studio recording. The album will be released on February 5, 2016, according to the AFP agency.

John released the first single from the album called ' Looking Up', which marks a return to his early bluesrock season. The song is mainly powered by a distinctive accompanying electric guitar.

If it were a representative sample from the album, it would mean that John recorded a significantly different album than The Diving Board from September 2013. On this chamber record, John mostly played the piano himself - for the first time in thirty years, he did not use his permanent concert band.

That will change with the new Wonderful Crazy Night album. Elton John recorded it again with his longtime drummer, this year 66-year-old Nigel Olsson, and also with 64-year-old guitarist Davey Johnston, who has been essential to the sound of his line-up since 1971. Johnstone has collaborated with musicians Meat Loaf and Rod Stewart, among others.

Although Elton John releases studio albums regularly, today he has above all the reputation of being one of the most frequent concerts and also the best-earning musicians in the industry. He also performs regularly in Las Vegas.
