Esperanza Spalding: 112 Little Spells (2019) (2x LP) - LP
Esperanza Spalding has announced a bold new project called "12 Little Spells", which explores Spalding's magical approach to music creation by examining the body, human energy, and healing.
Esperanza released one new spell a day on her website and social media platforms, as well as hosting "Liner Notes Live" on Facebook, resulting in more than 3.1 million views.
The spells come in the form of new music, which Spalding created last month in a castle in Italy and then recorded in sessions completed just yesterday in Brooklyn. Each spell will be presented with specific images and video spells (short films to accompany each release).
