Everyone here is lying: Big mess in the Holy Land
A journey through the Holy Land is often very tangled, it can also be dangerous, but it is always an adventure. In his twenty-four reportage-style stories, Jiří Kalát certainly doesn't unravel the entire local political-social-historical tangle, but he does offer a series of perspectives on the events that accompanied his year-long stay in Jerusalem. Each chapter shows some aspect of life in Israel or Palestine. With the author, you will visit Tel Aviv, Hebron, Ramallah, Nablus, ultra-Orthodox Jewish communities, and refugee camps in Gaza. His perspective is not always objective, and given the local situation, it cannot be. It is the journey of a person who, although he knows a lot about the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians, still hasn't quite pieced together the entire mechanism. The book “Everyone Here is Lying” is also about whether he ultimately found the answers to his questions.
